Do not rest until you are your best: Prof. Qudsia Virani

Qudsia Virani

Ten years ago, I never even imagined establishing my own startup. Looking back, all the dots connect. Well, it might not be as fancy as it sounds.

I was a shy introvert girl but teaching helped me shape, sharpen, and enhance my skills which made me more confident and strong.

I feel that the more you explore, the more you learn and the more you learn, you develop.

So the last event that I organized was TEDxSIMSREE. It was the first-ever TEDx event at SIMSREE. The speakers included renowned personalities like Pearl V Puri, Karishma Chavan, Imtiyaz Vilatra, Vishakha Fulsunge, Daaniyal S, Tarun Walia, Arnesh Ghose, Dr Kersi Chavda, Major Mohammed Ali Shah, Olly Esse, Keyur Patel, and Aditya Singh.

It was not just an event, but rather one of the finest sources of learning which enhanced my managerial skills and gave me a push to start my much-awaited entrepreneurial journey.

And now sponsoring the next TEDxSIMSREE event could be considered one of my short-term goals.

I am also a part of the MAHA CARE – incubation center of Maharashtra College (headed by Dr. Sirajuddin Chougle and Prof. Saima) in which I was responsible for mentoring respective teams and the winning team won seed capital of Rs. 5 Million.

I believe that true power lies in empowering others.

Currently, I am nominated as a student member of Internal Complain Committee at Maharashtra College where I will be working towards social upliftment.

Life is all about ups and downs so at times when you are at your lowest the best thing to do is to stay calm and focused as every obstacle that you overcome only brings you closer to success.

So I believe to keep moving forward focusing on the right things and to keep learning and developing an optimistic mindset.

It will be unfair to say that I haven’t faced any challenges or difficulties in achieving my goals. I feel when the quest to conquer your goal is big, you will hardly feel the challenges coming your way. Most of the days, I am working till 2 am and at days it’s even beyond. I don’t just believe in doing it.. I believe in doing exclusively!
